What have I been doing for the past two months instead of working on the truck? Jette and I bought the house next door..... a real fixer upper. We cleaned out the inside and demolished the areas that needed is then we hauled away 4000 pounds of debris. My friend Jeff let us use his work truck a 7 ton behemoth........ we had it filled up.
My other excuse is the Mando-Crank, the Mando-Crank is a string winder for the mandolin. As every Mandolin player knows a guitar string winder just doesn't work for a mandolin. Jette and I began sketching up the Mando-Crank idea last October while on a plane trip to my sister Melissa's wedding. I drew up the sketch in CAD then I gave the drawing to a sculptor friend, Moto. Moto had the drawing all winter and I finally received the sculpture in June. I sculpted the handle myself then I had a local casting guy make a rubber mold and duplicate the prototype Mando-Crank.
28 July - 3 hours Worked on the brakes for a while. Installed front slave cylinders.
29 July - 3 hours More work on the brakes, installed front brake lines.
30 July - 3 hours Installed another brake line
